Beirut International Children and Family Film Festival seeks to raise awareness in the region about Children and Family issues; we believe that every child has the right for education, love, and peace; and we want to promote this through films, the language we all talk without any limitation.
BICAF screens films from the entire world; our program varies from local to international films; the festival hosts filmmakers to talk about their filming journey, and to discuss their films with our young audience. the festival also includes special programs for awareness and capacity building. BICAF program offers its visitors discussions about the films, seminars and workshops; in addition to a film competition that offers many financial awards.
Beirut Film Society (BFS) is a Non-for Profit Association that works closely with Lebanese and International filmmakers and with film associations and/or other entities around the world to empower film industry in Lebanon and the Arab World. BFS organizes film events in Lebanon and abroad, to introduce cinema culture as an educative tool to human rights and ethics; and to spread the Lebanese culture through Lebanese films where possible.
In line with its mission and vision, BFS organizes film events in Lebanon and abroad to introduce cinema culture as a cognitively creative representation of human rights and ethics; providing a platform for youth and women to express themselves and to break the ceilings through freely sharing their fears, hardships, dreams and ambitions.
